Just to share with you that for the first time I am experiencing ZATTOO Live TV experience in the TGV at 300km/h thanks to internal Wifi access (free for the moment). Quality and stability of the signal is great. Switching time also great\!

The fastest ever use of Zattoo on record was Olivier’s Zattoo experience on the TGV at the end of February. It’s hard to top 300km/h as long as Zattoo is not available on flights. Which makes us wonder if there are any other records out there. Where, for example, is the weirdest place ever you watched Zattoo? What’s your longest ever Zattoo session? Or do you have a personal Zattoo story you’d like to share?
(Here’s mine, to start it off: Zattoo is also a dating agency. My fella read an article on us in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, written by Simon Feldmer, and then contacted us. And things took their course and Simon has my eternal gratitude …)

grazie francesco…..tu che tipo di canali vorresti vedere?Di quale nazione?Io cerco i canali spagnoli,devo dire che ho trovato delle eccellenti soluzioni ma purtroppo nessuno da la2 dal vivo,l’unico è proprio zattoo.Per questo spero arrivi il più presto possibile,non ne posso più di aspettare!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cmq il discorso è questo…se un giorno uscirà zattoo in italia potremmo vedere solo i canali che sono visibili gratuitamente dal satellite…quindi non è detto che i canali che interessano a te (alessandra) saranno visibili…bisogna vedere se tramite satellite sono criptati o no…se sono criptati mettiti l’anima in pace…

I travel a lot. And I don’t get it! 😦
When I’m in the UK, I get to watch, amongst others, Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC three and BBC four. Next day, still in the UK, BBC 3 and BBC 4 show the message “The channel is scrambled or not available”. A week later in the US, I see umpteen stations on Zattoo’s home page, but after logging in the screen stays blank. Another week later I’m in Ireland….. nothing. Back home in Germany I get to see 20 (fairly uninteresting) channels.
So what exactly is going on? One cannot watch BBC 3 and 4 every day when one is in the UK? Only every other day? Or not at all anymore? Zattoo offers NO service in the US? Nor in Ireland (Republic of)? And NO UK channels in Germany? So why is iTV1 on the list of channels on the Zattoo website in the US? Where does one have to live to see iTV1 on Zattoo?
Booooo hoooooo ….. I’m all confused …. HELP …. 😦

@alessandra: non c’è modo…c’è stato fin ora…però era un metodo illegale…cmq secondo me Zattoo in Italia non uscirà mai…ma non per loro volontà…alla fine loro guadagnano su la pubblicità quindi sono soldi che vengono a meno nelle loro tasche…ma per il semplice motivo che in italia ci sono troppi interessi politici/economici…tu immagina se società tipo Fastweb e compagnia bella che vendono l’iptv possano permettere che te possa vedere la tv senza pagare loro attraverso Zattoo…

@Babs1117: that’s because the media rights are still allocated very locally. That’s why you see a different channel lineup according to the country you’re in. Also, it’s much easier for us to get the rights for a country’s own channels (e.g., British channels for the UK) than for main foreign channels. And Zattoo also only launches in a country after it has acquired the rights to retransmit a certain amount of channels. So if you’re in Ireland or the US, you won’t be able to receive Zattoo yet because we haven’t launched our service there yet. However, we’re working on it full blast!

Francesco: personalmente credo che le aziende che offrono IPTV avrebbero interesse ad un’espansione di Zattoo: chi già ora paga per un servizio di qualità e garantito difficilmente lo abbandonerebbe per un servizio più scarso, ma al contrario chi ora non usa nessuna forma di televisione via Internet potrebbe, grazie a Zattoo, prenderne l’abitudine e optare poi per una soluzione a pagamento per motivi di qualità della ricezione e ampiezza dell’offerta.

ciao gianni,se sei italiano come me e tantissimi altri purtroppo zattoo deve ancora arrivare in italia quindi non c’è possibilità di vedere i canali che trasmette e se anche arrivasse non è detto che si possano vedere tutti,dipende a quali sei interessato.PER FRANCESCO:sei svizzero?Sai per caso se per internet si possono vedere SF1 o SF2?Grazie

COMUNQUE RAGAZZI …se vi interessa vedere le tv di tutto il mondo che trasmettono on lin in streaming ho il metodo ed e` tutto gratis ovviamente
inoltre si puo` vedere oltre ai film anche documentari,sport,calcio in diretta e molto altro ancora….se volete io ci sono a presto…. GIANNI

Hi Zattoo staff, ass you can see this blog is like an italian colony, so you should feel yourself obliged to bring zattoo to italy, and it’s not enough, thanks to this whole lot of interest that you are getting from the “belpaese” (Italy) I think that you could experiment the introduction of a new fare to Zattoo’s services, i.e. if you want to see only the free channels for your country (italy in this case) it won’t cost you anything, but if you want to access restricted channels from other countries you should pay a yearly fee (max 30euros), so we could access to the 2 switzerland’s channels in italian (tsi1 and tsi2), which are of great interest to us because they often premier movies in our language.
I’ll take a quick poll to confirm my guess:
So italians, what do you think about having zattoo in italy with a few free channels and then paying 30euros a year to see tsi1 and tsi2? Yes or no?
Allora italiani, che ne pensate dell’idea di aprire zattoo in italia con i soliti pochi canali free e di pagare tipo 30euro all’anno per accedere a tsi1 e tsi2? Si o no?
so let’s give Zattoo some feedback! facciamogli capire qualcosa a questi di Zattoo dai! 🙂

@michele: potrebbe essere interessante come cosa…se non fosse per il fatto che: bisogna chiedere l’autorizzazione alle varie società televisive…poi c’è bisogno degli apparati:server…tanta banda e non so cosa per accedere alla fonte tv…per quanto riguarda pagare per vedere tsi1 e tsi2…se fosse possibile vedere questi due canali con una qualità decente io li pagherei si 30 euro l’anno…ma come già detto qualche post fa non è che nn c’è volontà da parte loro…ma xkè non glie lo permettono…come già detto…zattoo se uscirà in italia…potrà far vedere solo i canali che sono ricevibili gratuitamente dal satellite…tsi1 e tsi2 sono criptati…invece per esempio canali come RTL o VOX o BBC o ITV sono canali gratuiti ricevibili tranquillamente dal satellite…purtroppo è questa la nostra situazione…c’è poco da fare…anzi vi dirò di +…c’hanno tolto pure l’unico modo per usufruire di zattoo (io così lo vedevo e funzionava perfettamente)…tramite una vpn svizzera…hanno bloccato l’accesso da quegli ip…xkè un casino di gente si collegava così… http://www.swissvpn.net/zat.html 😦

@Michele and all other Italians waiting for Zattoo to finally come to Italy: A few weeks ago, a real, bona-fide Italian joined us to help open up Italy as soon as possible – and even before we had the good luck of finding Fabio, my colleagues invested a lot of time in bella Italia (my best friend just married a very nice guy from South Italy, so I’m a big fan … of Italian weddings ;-)). And things are not looking bad currently, so stay with us.
Interesting idea with the pay channels. We are working on a pay channel solution, but Italy will certainly open before we roll out a premium offer.

Me gustaria haceros una petecion es el canal de la Comunidad de Cataluña el C33 y si se pudiera TV3 son dos canales que antes nos llegaban a la comunidad Valenciana pero ahora solo nos llega el que tenis puesto de TVC.
